Partly false. Off the bush, elderberries have been reported to have high vitamin C content, yes. However, vitamin C is highly unstable and vaporizes easily. Unless you have 3rd party tested your products, this claim is unsubstantiated and misleading the consumer. This goes for any claim for any number of water-soluble vitamins or minerals if you’re making elderberry syrup, and fat-soluble vitamins and minerals if you’re using other menstruums.
